Our Story

In 2019, Lisa D. Dance, a UX Researcher/Founder at ServiceEase, created the UX Census (RVA) Survey, an annual to understand how User Experience (UX) was actually practiced in the Richmond, VA area. When she was trying to enter the UX field, she struggled to find this information and knew others still had the same struggle, so she made the comprehensive survey report available free to the community.

The first UX Census (RVA) Survey event was held in November 2019 to share the learning and connect professionals in the local UX community.

Today, the UX Census RVA continues to provide insights and opportunities to connect through the financial and promotional support of sponsors and community members like you.

Our Mission

The UX Census (RVA) was created to bring transparency and UX career information to the Richmond community, so we can all feel prepared and supported in this profession.
